It comes from the Missoni archives this stunning pair of tapestries created by Ottavio and Rosita Missoni for the Maison. The tapestries were mounted on wooden frames with matte black frames.
Between 1964 and 1965, Ottavio and his wife Rosita began a wonderful professional partnership, combining the skills of both since she came from a family of weavers, while he had a business making sports suits. They began producing colorful knitwear for Biki, a famous Milanese dressmaker, then for Rinascente, which chose some of their productions. From there to the first collection the step was very short. Ottavio Missoni, also called the master of color, with checkered sheets and markers always in hand, turns fashion into art. In fact, Missoni fabrics are masterpieces that look great even in frame.
