This is a marvelous period, late 18th century “Adam” style wirework and brass trim bowfront Fireplace Fender with original blackened wire work hand woven in Adam swags. The wirework is in exceptional, age-appropriate condition as is the entire fender. The bowfront or demilune shape is a rare form for a fireplace fender and it retains the original warming bar for hanging towels and clothing to dry as well as its original steel pan, brass feet and top brass trim.
