A fine example of a New Hampshire Queen Anne two part highboy in curly maple attributed to the Dunlap Workshop, circa 1760-1780, its upper case featuring a hand carved cornice with dentil molding surmounting five graduated long drawers, the top drawer front showing a central radial fan carving flanked by two faux drawer fronts, over a lower case with waist molding and three graduated long drawers, repeating the radial fan carving on the lowest drawer flanked with faux drawer fronts, over a scroll carved skirt with two small circular drops, all supported by four nicely carved bandy legs. Very good overall condition, with some drawer front restorations, patches, replaced brasses, shrinkage cracks, drawer edge losses, and a refreshed finish. This exceptional and desirable chest of drawers has a commanding presence! Dimensions: 81.5 in H x 41.25 in W x 22 in D. Ref: 8
