1940’s French Atelier Bank Of Drawers – Thirty Two Drawers. This amazing tall set of drawers came from the harbour offices of Strasbourg Port. Strasbourg sits close to the French/German border which partly runs along the Rhine. Historically (and still to date), this section of the Rhine plays an important part in commercial river traffic. The cabinet is totally original, beautifully made in solid oak with superb dovetailed drawers using solid beech for the drawer carcasses. The cabinet retails the full set of original pressed steel handles. Beautifully made with panelled back and sides, all drawers run smoothly. Internal drawer dimensions: 38L x 23W x 6H. All CM.
