Brass & Teak Ice Bucket and Ice Tong attributed to Arne Jacobsen for Stelton Brassware, 1960s

Beautiful set of ice bucket and ice tong in brass with a lid in solid teak wood. Iconic creation by Danish designer Arne Jacobsen for Stelton Brassware.

The brassware line was only produced in limited quantity in the mid 1960s and is sought after today by collectors.

The Stelton Brassware line was only in production for a limited time in the mid-sixties due to the challenges of working with brass in the Stelton factory rather than the stainless steel it was set up for.

On top of that, the properties of brass which are very different from stainless steel has resulted in many cracked items, which means that the already limited production has been diminished even further.

The set is in great condition, with patina to the brass. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
