A solitaire piece was designed in the circle of Josef Hoffmann
Josef Hoffmann created many inlaid furnitures and accessoires in silver and glass and jewellery, as well as extraordinary black furnitures in the secession era.
Solid beech wooden table frame with grooved lines on the surface – black lacquered – the legs are inside conical shaped. The table is topped with a very beautiful plate, which is made of onyx.
The onyx plate is colored green, brown and cream-white.
Thickness from the plate: 1.5 cm consist of 0.7 cm onyx and 0.8 cm marble
The plate has nice fine scratches and shows a great patina.
The onyx slices are original fixed on a Carrara marble plate for safety.
This plate is supported on the frame. We have attached few images.
