19th Century Inlaid Birch Lyre Form Occasional Table

19th century inlaid birch lyre form occasional table circa 1890. Elegant piece of late 19th century swedish furniture. Overall rectangular shaped top with canted corners. Made in birch, with cross banded edge, stringing and a applied inlaid shell to the centre. Single drawer below the top surface, which is fitted with compartments. Supported by an ebonised lyre form with 4 brass strings, standing on a quadriform base with tapering legs. Table could sit well as a lamp table in a living room, work well in the hallway and many further possibilities around the home. Minor surface marks, slight bending to metal strings.
